Your Videos are great! I am a free holiness girl... that doesn't do hair very well your videos have helped me. Gave my life to the lord 15 years ago! ahhh can't wait til my hair grows to do this! thanks for the tips! I have one for you tho, if you want to not cut the ends or have split ones i saw when you strightened the ends really fast. be gentle, Dont hold the iron so tight or it pulls and rips, splitting your ends! :) and you can always do a one part vinegar 4parts water rinse before you have a shower every once in awhile to remove hairspray buildup. I just joined the church so its great to have some hairstyles to look forward to!

@SaraSaint82 I just use a clarifying shampoo like suave's, and then I add a dime-size amount of baking soda to it, and it takes the gunk out very well. I shampoo again with my normal shampoo, and then condition. I comb the conditioner through in the shower with a wide-tooth comb. I don't brush it before I wash it when it's super gunky like that...

My hair is a little bit longer than gossgirl's, and I use a lot of hairspray too but my hair is not real bad oily. I have had problems with it, but I find it's best to take it down at night and brush through it very well before any attempts at washing. Also I use a super cheap Suave Kids Detangler that seems to work great for after you wash it. You might want to try something like that or a leave in conditioner. I love these videos though. Please keep them coming!!!

My hair is longer I want it longer but I have used hairspray in the past kept it for like two days I would not advise that I washed it out and it took me two times. Thats why I don't use hairspray. I love these hair dos the only thing I do to mine is pull it back ugh I need to get all crazy with it. I'm pentecostal and when you go dancing in the spirit their aint enough hair spray in the world to keep your hair down bobby pins end up getting found when we clean the church.

Hi.. very cute side bun! I have a question hope you can give me advice. I've been in church a few yrs..so my hair isn't incredibly long..but my problem is after I make a hairdo w/ a lot of hairspray, it is an absolute nightmare afterwards. How do you deal with the aftermath from using all that hairspray? Do you brush your hair out before you get it wet or do you just wet it without brushing it out and then detangle in the shower? Please let me know how you deal with it! Anything would help!

@DiyaBabyee It may look like it, but it's not hurting her hair. I'm not apostolic, but my daughter has waist length hair and I always put a LOT of hairspray in it when I'm fixing it in cute styles. The only way to get hair like this to stay in place is to use tons of hairspray. And for what it's worth, my daughter has gorgeous hair - not unhealthy or damaged at all. The little girl in this video has beautiful hair too.

ya well thats not what I said. Some people believe that the Bible says to do this. So they do it because they love God. Personally I go with the opposite side of the argument. You dont have to wear your hair up or whatever. They dont believ that people who dont do this dont go to heaven! I know..I tend to agree with you, BUT there is a theological controversy regarding that. The Bible says that it is our glory and that we should cover our hair when we pray. Thus the Catholic and Amish head coverings.(Amish wear it all the time bc the Bible says to pray all the time not just churhc) The original word in Greek means "veil" That word in Greek could mean two different things..a head covering with hair or something else. :) My dad is a Bible and greek professor. lol.

I've always tried doing my hair in the back poof but it always seem to come out way too messy & frizzy, But I never even thought about leaving a layer out until after I was finished teasing it. This has helped So much! yay Thanks!

I think what it is... is that the devil knows he's bout to lose and has to get one last lick in beforehand. haha! It'll grow though! gotta agree with you in that the long hair thing as well as the covering of the hair thing were what was deemed appropriate at that point in history. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with having long hair but you can't assume that just because Paul instructed the Corinthian church to do something means that it applies to all Christians from then on until eternity. I'm a born-again Bible believing Christian trying to follow God to the best of my ability aside from the long hair rule.

Because us Apostolic ladies have really long hair and so we do our hair in different dos. You don't normally see people doing these kinds of styles unless they have a reason. People just call it Apostolic hairstyles. There's no really certain reason..
