Totally kool beans, my hair is so thin but long and uncut as yours. I have been so blessed by the time you have spent sharing with us all. LOVE this one. After the surgery on my neck I have a really hard time getting my hands back to do low styles, I do better much better when they are off to the side and on top, but excited to give this a try. My hair is a little bit longer than gossgirl's, and I use a lot of hairspray too but my hair is not real bad oily. I have had problems with it, but I find it's best to take it down at night and brush through it very well before any attempts at washing. Also I use a super cheap Suave Kids Detangler that seems to work great for after you wash it. You might want to try something like that or a leave in conditioner. I love these videos though. Please keep them coming!!!

My hair is longer I want it longer but I have used hairspray in the past kept it for like two days I would not advise that I washed it out and it took me two times. Thats why I don't use hairspray. I love these hair dos the only thing I do to mine is pull it back ugh I need to get all crazy with it. I'm pentecostal and when you go dancing in the spirit their aint enough hair spray in the world to keep your hair down bobby pins end up getting found when we clean the church.

@SaraSaint82 The hair spray I use is not 'gunky' and i just take my hair down, brush it out at night, and wash it in the AM..I spray far way from my hair so it's not like RIGHT on it...maybe some of the other viewers can assist. ?

Hi.. very cute side bun! I have a question hope you can give me advice. I've been in church a few yrs..so my hair isn't incredibly long..but my problem is after I make a hairdo w/ a lot of hairspray, it is an absolute nightmare afterwards. How do you deal with the aftermath from using all that hairspray? Do you brush your hair out before you get it wet or do you just wet it without brushing it out and then detangle in the shower? Please let me know how you deal with it! Anything would help!

i did this for church tonight and just finished. it looks really fancy and wasnt difficult at all! my hair is a lot longer than yours so i'm glad i didnt use the hairpiece. i just wrapped the front section around the first bun twice and did it that way, thank you again!

Hi Abby!! i love your hair-do's! KUDOS and to respond to the comment about being catholic or non christian- anyone can have/use/do- anyones hair like this. We just call it Apostolic/Pentecostal because we(In thefaith) usually tend to have longer hair than most girls and need a way to put it up...it gets tiring and damaging just by curling it..hence creating hairstyles to keep it up! hope it helps! amen. i agree with princessweldon also, the bible does say that we can play the motions of holiness, but without the spirit of God inside of us we have no claim to be holy at all. He never said it was going to be easy, living life for God is a sacrifice that we apostolics are willing to make. ya well thats not what I said. Some people believe that the Bible says to do this. So they do it because they love God. Personally I go with the opposite side of the argument. You dont have to wear your hair up or whatever. They dont believ that people who dont do this dont go to heaven! I know..I tend to agree with you, BUT there is a theological controversy regarding that. The Bible says that it is our glory and that we should cover our hair when we pray. Thus the Catholic and Amish head coverings.(Amish wear it all the time bc the Bible says to pray all the time not just churhc) The original word in Greek means "veil" That word in Greek could mean two different things..a head covering with hair or something else. :) My dad is a Bible and greek professor. lol.

I'm 22. I've been "apostolic" in doctrine my whole life but came from a liberal church who didn't push outward holiness. About a 1 1/2 year ago I came back to God but still I never understood why wearing pants or cutting hair was such a big deal...UNTIL a few months ago. I fought it so hard...but I decided to be obedient and just do it and I'm amazed how God has been moving in my life since. I've heard people say you act how you dress and it was SO true for me...and I hope it still is! :P

Because its not considered "normal hairstyles" and since we have extra long hair, we have adapted hairstlyes to fit such long hair. Because the Bible teaches us to have uncut long hair, most women tend to have lots of hair. interesting... was this term coined in the apostolic church? or is there a place in the epistles that says women shouldn't cut their hair? I'm just intrigued about the name bc it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the apostolic ministry, but interesting none the less! :)

Because main stream women don't have hair down past their hip area, and this is considered a "conservative" hairstyle. I personally think its beautiful. :)
