we do obey Jesus when he said babtize in the name "singular" it was fulfilled in the book of acts and matthew was present on the day of pentecost and would have rebuked them but the bible says they gladly were babtized and the same day was added about 3000 souls they were commanded to be babtized in Jesus name later on if you would just read the book of acts its all in there they were all babtized in Jesus name people just dont beleive it because of man made traditions that have been taught

Like i said to lavendertwilight08 Im not apostolic but I think thier reasons are t same as the church Ive been raised in.The Bible says a woman's hair is thier glory..thus if we cut it off we cut off our glory. & yes we wear skirts. Partly b/c they are more modest(some of them) & others believe that since the Bible says women shouldn't wear mens apparel then they shouldn't wear pants bc men wore them 1st...Personally I dont particually agree but respect those who do.I see where thier comin from.

Paul also told them in I Corinthians that their hair was to be their covering. His intent was that the headship of christ might be displayed. God is the head of man, man is the head of woman, so if it be shame to a man to have long hair , the bible teaches that it is a glory to the womans hair to not be sheared or shorn which in the Greek means cut or trimmed.

Corinthians 11:6 says " If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off;" The women of those times wore veils to cover their heads, much like the muslim women, why do apostolics not practice this, it seems to me, it is out of convenience, kind of like, "well I'll put my hair up, but I'm I don't believe in the hair covering." I'm assuming that the hair is supposed to be the covering?

Sir, I am a baptist and don't know too much about the long hair, however, doesn't the Bible mention women must also wear hair coverings while worshipping, aren't they both found in Paul's letter to Corinth? Why don't the women wear hair coverings? I've always been curious as to why one and not the other. I've been taught that short hair for women, during the time of Paul's letter, was a sign of prostitution, hence the long hair with a hair covering.

I am a pentacostal holiness pastor but we share common belief with the apostolic in the scriptures in Corinthians chapter 11 that it is a shame for a man to have long hair but to a woman it is a glory and a commandment of God that she have long hair.

Hi Abby!! i love your hair-do's! KUDOS and to respond to the comment about being catholic or non christian- anyone can have/use/do- anyones hair like this. We just call it Apostolic/Pentecostal because we(In thefaith) usually tend to have longer hair than most girls and need a way to put it up...it gets tiring and damaging just by curling it..hence creating hairstyles to keep it up! hope it helps! amen. i agree with princessweldon also, the bible does say that we can play the motions of holiness, but without the spirit of God inside of us we have no claim to be holy at all. He never said it was going to be easy, living life for God is a sacrifice that we apostolics are willing to make. On your half redstatein, i hope you do receive the holy ghost if you havent yet already! It's a powerful and wonderful thing. :)
