Why does Paul (or the writer of Hebrews) say about the design of the tabernacle "But we cannot discuss these things in detail now"? Were there embellishments in the design that aren't mentioned in scripture? I mean, Exodus talks about "skilled craftsmen" being selected to build it. Or am I misunderstanding the verse in Hebrews?

Actually the confederate states never did really die because civil war reconstruction was a failure. It brought an end to slavey, but racism and slave like treatment in southern states still persisted for the next one hundred years. The Southern states got back their Senate and congressional powers just less than then a decade after the war and past legislature similar to pre-civil war days (jim Crow Laws).

Actually that was the original text of the song (because it was the Civil War, and men KNEW they were going to die). Only after the war did the line see a change when non-military personnel sang it. That said, I prefer the change.

My youngest son is serving in the Marines and is now in Afghanistan, I believe that God is Faithful to bring him home, alive and well. Better and not bitter, please pray for all that are serving. The polygamy of Abraham & Jacob was tolerated. Look at the family turmoil with Abraham having to send Hagar away with Ishmael. Jacobs wives were sisters & they had a lot of jealousy (they had every right) between who was loved more. The foreign wives of Solomon were his downfall. Abraham should have waited on Gods timeline & Jacob should not have drank so much before his marriage (7 year courtship?) Marriage parallels Christ & the Church, Christ is married to one body & so should we.

I do know my Bible. You may notice that the law of Moses is a great deal different then the law of God that is practiced now. Abraham was right to enter into polygamy and so was Jacob. As prophets, they were responsible to do all that God commands. I do not remember where in the Bible Abraham and Jacob repented of polygamy. I would like to have the book, chapter, and verse where they did please.

I believe the Bible as I have it is inspired by God. Whatever is not in it is not. My church has never taught me anything about creeds, don't know what they are, so that doesn't concern me. Our church barely resembles catholicism because we believe they were not interpreting the Bible correctly and at the time of the reformation were very corrupt. Our church is based on the Bible not traditions. Why would that bother me? In conclusion, No.
